🐙 Brilliant Ideas + Octopus 🐌 The serious cuteness of this snail 💡When selling your 1 sacred offer
I had this brilliant idea to teach Delphi how to recognize her toys by naming them. So I began with her favorite, a hot pink, blue, and yellow octopus. I showed her the toy, repeated the name several times, used treats as reinforcement, and it was going swimmingly well.
So well, in fact, that now she associates ALL toys as “Octopus.”
You see, I had a desire, and I met that desire with a strategy. I also held a future vision. But when my desire and strategy did not create the vision, the first thing I felt was an undeniable pull to quit. So what if she thinks all toys are Octopus? My brain said, “Time for the next brilliant idea.” Maybe I should teach her to use her scratch pad instead, since it is important for trimming down her front nails.
Why am I sharing this? Because we do this ALL. THE. FREAKIN. TIME.
You do it in your business.
“I have a dream. I am going to offer the thing. I will use one strategy and go for it. But when it gets tough and the vision does not appear right away, I feel defeated, hide in my cave, and do not come out until I have a brand new idea.”
Yes, I am speaking to you.
Do you know why I believe being in a mastermind and having a business coach is so important? Because you get to have a loving guide remind you that it is all about maintaining a positive outlook and clearing doubt from your energy field. Just like with Delphi, who is so smart, all I need to do is re-examine what I have done, reinforce what worked, break the steps down into bite size pieces, and be PATIENT with my baby. She is going to get it. And so will you and your business.

Last weekend when my in-laws were in town, we were waiting for a brunch table and I noticed a children’s secondhand store nearby. Since I do not have kids, I never thought about going in, but curiosity got me. The first thing I saw was a snail costume, and instantly I pictured my nephew in it. I bought it, popped it in the mail, and tucked in a cute snack cup and sippy cup from a women owned small business in town.
Now I cannot stop staring at these photos. They make me laugh and brighten my day. You can absolutely comment below and thank me for this cuteness.
