Seeding an Intention
How often, even when we are “doing something spiritual” do we move through the practice mindlessly?
I was tired of feeling like a fraud, getting further and further away from living in the sacred and teaching about the beauty and power that lies when we are in deep devotion. I no longer feel like a fraud when it comes to my wisdom but I was clearly out of sync and alignment with what I was sharing and what I was actually doing.
So began a personal journey exploring how I can live cosmically blissful through devotion in motion.
As a priestess, energy coach, and Minister of Walking Prayer, it is my calling to walk through life, weaving intention, love and beauty with the single focus of amplifying my belief in the acausal realm where logic and linear thinking is defied and miracles are birth from the cosmos into this physical realm.
It was time for me to return home, to be in the sanctuary of the Primordial Mother, in Korean she is known as Mago.
To begin this initiation, helping to bridge the celestial world with this one, I placed my intent in a newly built altar, anchoring it to my sacred talisman that I adorn myself with so that I may remember what prayer I was walking with, why I was on this initiation path, and for whom this was for.
What spiritual practices do you partake in?
Why? What is its purpose and how does it speak to your soul?
What intention are you seeding into the next spiritual practice that you will say yes to diving deeper into?
How is this part of your next initiation?
How will you seed this embodied clarity into the prayer field?
What sacred item shall remind you of your sacred journey?
Does it feel aligned to create a new altar or lay your old one to rest and breathe life into a new one?
Is there a talisman that is calling for you to bring to life for this journey?
Mago, primordial mother of creation, divine spirit
I call myself present, humbly in your space,
Child of the stars and the earth
I come before you with an open heart
And a courageous spirit
Ready to be initiated into this next level of studies
Being a student of the mysteries of the universe
I lay down my prayers that I stay true to this journey
Mindful and aware of my thoughts, actions, emotions and
Programs that keep me awake and devoted to spiritual alignment
Here I seed my prayers
Blessing and activating this newly created altar
May it breathe life, and create a thread of connection
To my sacred talismans so that the communication line
Is open and freely accessed from
the upper realm, the middle realm and the lower realms
So that even in my humanness,
I hear the wisdom from the Great Mother
Let’s take a moment to drop all the way down and in.
Material needed: Candle, lighter, altar cloth, music, clearing and cleansing materials, sacred items for the altar
Find a space for a personal altar.
If you already have one, go ahead and express your gratitude, connecting with each sacred piece before laying it to rest. Clear the altar and cleanse the items.
If this doesn’t feel aligned, simply connect and breathe life to your altar and make a connection with intention.
If you feel called to create another altar, find a space that is ready for such a magical connection between you, the earth and the cosmos.
Open space.
Walk around your home with love noticing what items desire to be on this altar.
Based on your journaling, you already have a clear understanding why you are being asked to create this altar. Perhaps it helps you to be spiritually aligned, or maybe it is a way to communicate with your ancestors that are well fed, or it is an anchor to your celestial family in the stars.
Clean each item.
Light a candle.
Using any elements that are called - water, candle, incense, smudge bundle, rose oil, soil, clear the piece.
With your eyes closed, introduce yourself to this item and invite the energy of your piece to make a connection with you.
Using your breath, breathe life into this inanimate object so that it becomes alive - a sentient being here to support you as it communes with all the other tools that you have on the altar.
Allowing your intuition to flow through you feely and asking your now sacred tool to show you where it desire to be.
Place each item on your altar and watch, sense how they begin to communicate with each other. Often they will ask to be moved or be next to another sacred tool so listen and honor the request.
Seed in the intention for the altar.
Now bring your talisman objects and clear them.
Breathe life into these adornments and imagine weaving a thread or communication line with the altar which is connected to the cosmos and the earth. Place in a prayer that when you hold, keep in your pocket, or wear this talisman that it will help guide you and remind you of your intention.
Close with a prayer, blowing out the candle so that the altar goes to bed and rests until you activate it again.
Material needed: Candle, lighter, clearing and cleansing tools, altar cloth, music, sacred items for circle
Clear and clean the room.
Cleanse each participant.
Bring a table or a cloth to be the center piece for the communal altar.
Place all the sacred circle tools that you have on the side and invite your participants to join hands in a circle around the center piece.
Open the space.
Bring one candle to the middle and light it.
Share the directions to communal altar creation which is to silently cocreate the altar. Letting go of ego, control, and strategizing, invite folks to enter into their heart space and listen - tapping into the energetic field and finding the communal flow.
Silently they will begin placing the items you have on the side onto the altar cloth. Music will be playing and quietly they will feel each sacred tool, honoring this sentient being and asking where they desire to be placed.
After the final pieces are placed, they are invited to add any sacred pieces they brought with them.
Activate the altar with a prayer.
Circlers can now sit and share one by one how that process was. Seeding in their intention for the day’s circle.
