I waved my phone in the air triumphantly — I had access to the MLS (The Multiple Listing Service). The magical portal of possibilities for this Audacious Asian Auntie (that would be me) on the hunt for a new home. Oh yeah…
Eric and I spent hours looking at listings. Okay, I was the one glued to the couch, pouring through photos, making lists, rearranging them by desire level. (Yes, I get organized AF when diving into a project!) There was one house that made my heart sing. I thought, this is it. It was beautiful, and it looked perfect. In my mind, I had already claimed it. The Universe was clearly blessing me with a smooth, elegant “yes.”
After waiting days (with the impatience of someone who wanted it all yesterday - hey, I am an Aries), we finally rolled up to “the one.” On paper, it was flawless — location, price, aesthetic, features. My hopes were high. I stepped inside… and my body said a hard no.
Not a whisper. A full-body, can’t miss the signs, no.
You walked right into the kitchen. Every room required a step up or down. The ground wasn’t level. It felt like being on a boat, slightly rocking. Completely ungrounding. Definitely not the creative, nourishing sanctuary I longed for. My inner child had a full on melt down. Ugh.
And then it hit me — business is like this too.
Sometimes an offer, strategy, or niche looks “perfect” on paper.
But if your body and intuition say no?
That is wisdom. Honor it.
Because forcing alignment drains your magic.
As I stood in the awkward kitchen, my agent offered a few insights I’ll never forget:
After a few visits, you’ll start feeling what’s off immediately. Trust that.
Look for good bones. Cosmetics can change. Structure matters.
Doesn’t that sound familiar in business too?
So many of us obsess over design, branding, offers that sparkle. Meanwhile, our foundations — our boundaries, systems, leadership — are cracking under the weight. You can’t scale beauty without structure. And you can’t fake resonance.
That day, Easter weekend, I toured three houses. None were it. I was stewing in disappointment because I had fully expected to fall in love, place an offer, get it accepted. I was dreaming in overdrive and jeez did I want that fairytale story, a perfect dreamy home that landed in my fucking lap.
But you know what?
⇨ Dreams do come true. Don’t loose hope.
The ego says “be realistic.”
Your soul says “play in the field of miracles.”
As we toured, my agent mentioned a home that had just come on the market. We were the first to see it. As I drove up, I knew. The house energetically welcomed me in. It wanted us there. It had good bones and beauty. The space felt like a sanctuary asking to be loved.
We put in an offer that day. It was accepted — the next day. On Easter Sunday.
I’m writing this from the sunroom of that home now, pausing to watch a bird fly past the hydrangeas. And I want you to remember:
Magic does happen in your business and in your life — when you’re grounded in what you truly desire and how you’re meant to serve.
Do not tamper down your dreams. They’re not impossible. They’re invitations.
3 Ways to Tap Into the Expansive, Extraordinary State of Manifestation:
Feel it. Constantly tune into the emotion of your desire. That’s the language the Universe listens to.
Follow your body. When your intuition says no, honor it. What’s on the other side is even more aligned.
Surround yourself with magic. Be in a community that expands you. Go to live events. Play. Dance. Dream. Magic happens when we’re together.
Today, I invite you to reach out and DM me the word “REACH” on Instagram or leave the word below in the comments section.
