A Cardamom Latte, A Stranger’s Kindness, and the Sacred Web of Trust
I Trust In My Community To Come Together
I am a woman who loves her coffee. Period.
Give me a warm oat milk latte with house-made cardamom and vanilla syrup and you’ve basically handed me a morning meditation. ☕✨
I was standing in line at one of my favorite local cafés, that kind of place where the light hits just right and the walls hum with gentle conversation. The espresso machine hissed in a steamy rhythm as the barista cleaned the milk pitchers, and the scent of roasted beans mingled with soft murmurings and the shuffle of people ordering pastries they know they didn’t come in for.
My fur baby was waiting (very impatiently, mind you) in the car, her little paws itching for the trail walk we always take along the river right after this little caffeine ritual.
I was probably running through my mental to-do list—client calls, content, figuring out if I had remembered to email that thing to that person—when I suddenly realized the line had moved, and I was at the counter.
I channeled my inner Aries and confidently rattled off my order like a seasoned pro. “Hot cardamom vanilla oat latte, no foam, please.”
Swipe. Tap. Done. I was ready to pay and get on with it.
And then, the barista smiled and said,
“No need to pay—the person before you already covered your drink.”
I blinked. “I’m sorry, huh?”
Yeah… my smooth café goddess energy instantly fell apart.
I glanced around, trying to spot the mystery human who had just blessed me with the divine gift of caffeine, but I’d been too in my head to notice anyone. All I could do was beam—full-body, heart-swelling delight.
So I handed over my card and said,
“Please charge me for mine—and pay it forward.”
The barista lit up. “This has been going on for about an hour now.”
An entire line of strangers paying it forward. No announcements. No hashtags. Just quiet generosity moving through people like a current. A sacred chain of trust.
And that, my love, is what we call a trust economy.
In a trust economy, business isn’t just a transaction.
It’s a sacred exchange.
Yes, my clients—coaches, healers, spiritual women entrepreneurs—are paying for a service.
✔️ Yes, they receive strategy, support, soul.
But what happens between those lines? The energetic space we share? That’s different.
There’s mutual care.
There’s emotional investment.
There’s relationship.
They want me to thrive.
And I want them to expand into the bigness of who they truly are.
So they come back. They refer. They root for me.
⇨ Not because I nailed a “sales funnel”—but because we created real connection.
Sacred Business Ritual: The Trust Loop
Write a list of past clients you’ve served in a group program.
Take a breath. Place a hand over your heart. Remember them.
Whisper a blessing. Thank them.
Then, reach out.
Send a quick note.
Share a favorite memory.
Let them know they still matter to you.
Invite them to pay it forward. Ask them to reach out to someone they met in that group and do the same.
💌 That’s it.
You’ve just started a love train that weaves an invisible thread of belonging and generosity through your business.
And if you want to take it one step deeper? Host a sacred circle. Invite past clients—not to pitch, not to sell—just to gather. To laugh. To remember. To feel the web.
Because when you show up generously, your community remembers you. They remember the medicine you carry. And they come back—not out of obligation, but because they trust you.
Trust your community to come together.
Trust your clients to return.
Trust that you are held in a web of love, generosity, and sacred reciprocity.
We are in a Trust Economy.
And if you’re reading this thinking, Sora, I want that. I want to trust. I want to believe people will show up. I want to feel held in my business, not like I’m constantly giving and carrying alone…
That’s where LUSH Ignite comes in.
It’s not just a business accelerator—it’s a sacred circle of Luminaries who deeply believe in paying it forward.
✰ Who will show up to your challenge.
✰ Cheer you on during your launch.
✰ Hold your vision when you’re doubting yourself.
✰And remind you that you were never meant to build this thing alone.
💫 I’m there, not just with strategy—but with deep listening, intuitive guidance, and direction when the path gets foggy.
LUSH Ignite is a living, breathing trust economy in action.
One that you get to be a part of.
One that you deserve to be part of.
So if your heart feels even a tiny tug,
Let that be enough.
Reach out. Let’s talk.
I’m here in this with you—always with cardamom, community, and the deepest kind of care.
xoxo,
I’d love to hear from you. Would you leave me a comment and share your feels around today’s post?
Lovely to find you on Substack, I've been out of the loop for a while for family and social media hacking reasons.
Would you believe I actually found you again when ChatGPT tuned into my energy and recommended you as someone aligned with my interests? It prompted me to track you down in the ethers again.
Love a cardamom coffee too. 🥰
Thank you for this. I love the concept of a trust economy.
